Illinois Requirements
- Must be signed by the grantor and notarized
- PTAX-203 Real Estate Transfer Declaration must be filed with the deed
- State transfer tax: $0.50 per $500 of consideration; county tax: $0.25 per $500
- Chicago imposes additional city transfer taxes ($3.75 per $500 of consideration for city, $1.50 per $500 for CTA)
- Must include the Property Index Number (PIN) and legal description
