Language Access / LEP Discrimination Complaint
Complaint alleging failure to provide meaningful language access to persons with limited English proficiency in federally funded programs, in violation of Title VI and Executive Order 13166.

File with the federal funding agency or the DOJ Federal Coordination and Compliance Section. Describe the program or service where language access was denied. Identify the language at issue and the specific accommodation requested but not provided (interpreter, translated documents). Federally funded entities must take reasonable steps to provide meaningful access, including oral interpretation and translation of vital documents. Include dates, witnesses, and any prior complaints.
