Fair Housing Act Complaint
Complaint filed with HUD alleging housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, or disability under the Fair Housing Act.
Instructions
File with HUD within one year of the discriminatory act. You may file online, by mail, or by phone (1-800-669-9777). Describe the discriminatory conduct: refusal to rent or sell, discriminatory terms, discriminatory advertising, or failure to make reasonable accommodations for disability. HUD will investigate within 100 days and attempt conciliation. If conciliation fails, HUD may file charges before an ALJ or you may elect to have the case heard in federal court.
