Endangered Species Act Section 7 Consultation Request
Request for formal consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service or NOAA Fisheries to ensure a federal action does not jeopardize listed species or destroy critical habitat.
Instructions
Submit a biological assessment identifying listed species and critical habitat in the project area. Describe the proposed action and analyze potential effects on listed species. The consulting agency will issue a Biological Opinion within 135 days determining whether jeopardy or adverse modification is likely. If jeopardy is found, the agency must propose reasonable and prudent alternatives. Include an incidental take statement request if take of listed species is anticipated.
