Case summary

On April 17th, 2024, the EPA Headquarters issued a Stop Sale, Use, or Removal Order (SSURO) to Global Infection Control Consultants, LLC (GICC) ordering the company to immediately stop the sale or distribution of pesticide products that the EPA had reason to believe were being offered for sale in violation of FIFRA section 12(a)(1)(A). These provisions make it unlawful for any person to distribute or sell pesticides that are unregistered. The SSURO also prohibits GICC from using, selling, offering for sale, holding for sale, shipping, or delivering for shipment the subject pesticides for any reason, unless approved by the EPA in writing. The SSURO shall remain in effect unless and until revoked, terminated, suspended, or modified in writing by the EPA.
