Case summary

Anheuser-Busch LLC owns and operates brewery facilities that produce, package, and distribute beer and alcoholic beverages. This action resolves violations of the CAA 112r RMP regulations at Anheuser-Busch?s facilities located in Merrimack, NH; Fairfield, CA; and Fort Collins, CO, and a violation of EPCRA 304 for failing to include an estimate of the ammonia released into the environment during a December 2018 incident in a written follow up to the State Emergency Response Commission and Local Emergency Planning Committee. Anheuser-Busch will pay $537,000 in penalties. In addition, Anheuser-Busch will retain a third-party expert to lead a minimum safety evaluation in accordance with IIAR 9-2020 and an evaluation to determine conformity with IIAR 6-2019 for each covered process at the eleven facilities that are subject to Risk Management Program requirements.
