With the filing of an administrative complaint on August 1, 2018, EPA commenced a civil administrative penalty action against Detroit Renovations, LLC, and Nicole Curtis for violations of EPA?s Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule (RRP Rule), 40 C.F.R. 745, Subpart E, promulgated pursuant to TSCA. The complaint alleged that Detroit Renovations and Ms. Curtis violated TSCA by failing to obtain EPA certification to perform renovations in five (5) pre-1978 homes and failing to use lead-safe work practices during the performance of renovations.
