IMPORTER BROUGHT INTO THE U.S. SIX DEUTZ NONROAD ENGINES T HAT WERE LABELED. THE ENGINES WERE DETAINED BY CUSTOMS IN M ARCH, 2000. ONE WAS DETAINED IN THE MIAMI, FL, PORT AND THE OTHER FIVE WERE DETAINED IN THE LOS ANGELES, CA. IMPORTER HAS PROVIDED PROOF OF CERTIFICATION. THEREFORE, EPA WILL IM POSE A PENALTY OF $500 PER ENGINE, AND IMPORTER WILL BE ALLO WED TO LABEL AND REMOVE THE SUBJECT ENGINES. IMPORTER HAS P REVIOUSLY IMPORTED APPROXIMATELY 28 NONROAD ENGINES INTO THE UNITED STATES SINCE 1/1/96.
