Case summary
This case addresses violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) by Winnebago Industries, Inc. ( Winnebago ), which manufactures, among other things, motorhomes, travel trailers and coaches. On July 22, 2015, Winebago disclosed to EPA that that in 2014 and 2015 it had sold 852 vehicles which exceeded the certified curb weight for the vehicles. As part of the settlement with EPA, Forest River paid a $237,000 civil penalty to the US Treasury and to re-label the non-conforming vehicles.
