Case summary
This case addresses violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) by Vento North America L.L.C. and Vento Credit, L.L.C. (collectively, Vento ), importers of highway motorcycles operating out of San Diego, California. During the years 2004 - 2006, Vento imported 14,543 highway motorcycles for which it failed to obtain certificates of conformity as required by section 203 of the Clean Air Act. As part of the settlement with EPA, Vento has agreed to pay a $25,000 civil penalty.
