On August 1, 2025, EPA Region 10 issued an Administrative Compliance Order to Green Works Enterprises, Inc and Portland Vancouver Junction Railroad LLC ( Respondents ) to address Clean Water Act ( CWA ) violations at a property in Chelatchie, WA. Respondents violated the Clean Water Act by discharging dredged and/or fill material into approximately 0.25 acres of wetlands adjacent to Chelatchie Creek and approximately 155 linear feet of stream without authorization under CWA Section 404. Respondents have agreed to remove unauthorized fill material and undertake restoration and enhancement of 0.25 acres of adjacent wetlands and 155 linear feet of stream at a cost of approximately $74,016 . This will be achieved through revegetation and habitat enhancement measures aimed at increasing sinuosity.
