On October 22, 2024, EPA Region 10 Issued a Notice of Warning (NOW) to Detweiler Farms (Plummer, ID) for misusing a registered pesticide within in the Coeur d'Alene Tribal Reservation. The Tribal Pesticide Circuit Rider Program conducted a for cause inspection in response to drift complaints about the application. Based on the inspection report, EPA determine the Respondent had violated FIFRA by allowing Direx Liquid Flowable Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 66222-54) to drift from the target site and on to U.S. Highway 95.
