On May 2, 2025, Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Hilcorp Alaska, LLC. (Respondent) for violations identified during an inspection of the facility on June 12, 2024, of Clean Water Act Section 311 spill prevention, control and countermeasure (SPCC) requirements at its Beaver Creek Field oil production and storage facility on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. This action ensures the Respondent corrects violations at this site and is aware of necessary SPCC implementation measures which may need to be taken at the Respondent?s other SPCC-regulated facilities to ensure protection of regional surface waters from oil spills.
