Case summary
On October 22, 2024 EPA Region 10 issued a Notice of Warning to the Spokane Hutterian Brethren in Reardan, Washington, for violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). EPA Region 10 found Spokane Hutterian Brethren to be in violation of Section 12(a)(2)(G) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. 136j(a)(2)(G). This section makes it unlawful to use any registered pesticide in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Spokane Hutterian Brethren applied Starane NXT (EPA Reg No. 62719-557) in combination with the strobilurin fungicide Trivapro (EPA Reg. No. 100-1613) to a field within the exterior boundary of the Spokane Reservation. However, the Starane NXT label states, ?Do not use this product in combination with fungicides containing strobilurin chemistry.?
