On June 4, 2024, Region 10 executed an Administrative Order on Consent with the Nooksack Indian Tribe for violations of the SDWA at Whispering Cedars Community Water System owned and operated by the Nooksack Tribe located on land held in trust by the United States for the benefit of the Nooksack Tribe, in Deming, Washington. The water system serves approximately 25 residents. The Order establishes a schedule to correct violations of the National Primary Drinking Water Rule including correction of identified significant deficiencies, monitoring and reporting requirements, and providing required public notice and consumer confidence reports to residents served.
