Case summary
On June 22, Region 10 entered into an administrative Consent Agreement and Final Order with Doyon Associated LLC (Doyon) for violations of Title II of the Clean Air Act. In early 2019 Doyon installed 57 defeat devices and tampered with emission control systems of 28 heavy-duty diesel vehicles. In settlement of these violations Doyon has retrofitted the vehicles with the required emission control systems and returned the vehicles to their stock configuration. Doyon will pay a civil penalty of $117,000. This settlement is part of EPA's National Compliance Initiative for Stopping Aftermarket Parts Defeat Devices for Vehicles and Engines.
