Case summary

On February 16th, 2023, Region 10 issued an administrative order on consent to the Spokane Tribe of Indians for its Wastewater Treatment Plant in Wellpinit,WA. The Spokane Tribe of Indians failed to comply with the terms of its NPDES permit WA0025704. Complying with the terms of the NPDES permit will allow the EPA and the public to ensure the facility is meeting effluent limits identified in the permit. The estimated cost of implementing this injunctive relief is $5,225. The Wellpinit Wastewater Treatment Plant is in an area with environmental justice concerns.
