Case summary
On April 22, 2022, EPA Region 10 settled with Walker Emulsions, Inc (Portland, Oregon) for violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). During an April 25, 2018 inspection of the companys pesticide-producing establishment, EPA found that Walker Emulsions failed to provide an EPA-approved label along with shipping papers when delivering pesticide product Clearwood MW-2, in violation of FIFRA Section 12(a)(1)(E). The shipping papers included by Walker Emulsions did not include the same language found in the EPA approved label, including product EPA registration number, precautionary statements, user safety instructions, personal protective equipment information, storage and disposal information, and general precautions. The company agreed to pay a civil penalty of $49,900.
