On April 4, 2022, Region 10 issued an consent agreement with the City of Tensed for its Wastewater Treatment Facility in Tensed Idaho. The City of Tensed failed to meet effluent standards for of Total Suspended Solids, Total Residual Chlorine, E. coli Bacteria, and Biochemical Oxygen Demand. Additionally, they failed to adequately and timely summarize monitoring results, failed to maintain proper sample preservation temperatures, failed to develop a Quality Assurance Plan, failed to update the Operations and Maintenance Plan, failed to develop an Emergency Response and Public Notification Plan, and failed to develop a Facility Plan. City of Tensed agreed to pay a penalty of $2,500 and return to compliance under a previous administrative order filed in February 2022.
