On July 16, 2021, EPA Region 10 settled with DiatomaceousEarth.com (DE.com) (Sigurd, Utah) for violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). EPA found that DE.com was advertising and distributing an unregistered pesticide called Food Grade 100% Freshwater Diatomaceous Earth in violation of FIFRA Section 12(a)(1)(A). EPA also found DE.com had violated a 2014 Stop Sale, Use or Removal Order in violation of FIFRA Section 12(a)(2)(I).
