Final Order With Penalty
Case summary
On April 9, 2021 , EPA Region 10 settled with Univar Solutions USA (Portland, Oregon) for violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). Resulting from a March 5, 2019 inspection of the companys pesticide-producing establishment by Oregon Department of Agriculture, EPA found that Univar was distributing a misbranded pesticide called Woodlife 111 in violation of FIFRA Section 12(a)(1)(E). The misbranded Woodlife 111 label omitted several important pieces of information, including user safety requirements, user safety instructions, personal protective equipment, and portions of both the first aid section and the storage and disposal section. The company agreed to pay a civil penalty of $165,000.
