The order requires Alaska Petroleum Distributing to take all necessary steps to prevent further migration of discharged petroleum. The order also requires the company to monitor the creek bed on a weekly basis, at the first sign of spring break up of the frozen creek, for evidence of oil sheening. If sheening is encountered, the order requires the company to take appropriate steps as necessary to prevent any downstream migration via sorbent materials or other recovery methods.
