Case summary
On January 14, 2014, Region 10 issued Notices of Intent to Prohibit Deliveries (NIPD) to Kyu Sik Kim and his company, City Blue, Inc., who own and/or operate three underground storage tanks (USTs) at the Hoquiam Shell gas station in Hoquiam, WA. The NIPDs explain that EPA will red-tag the tanks, i.e., prohibit future fuel deliveries to Hoquiam Shell, unless the USTs are brought into compliance with Washington's requirements for release detection, release reporting and investigation, and cathodic protection testing within 30 days.
