On September 19, 2014, Region 10 issued a Stop Sale, Use, or Removal Order to DiatomaceousEarth.com, of Lewisville, Idaho, for violations of FIFRA. EPA determined that Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade is not registered as a pesticide and therefore cannot be sold or distributed in the U.S. Perma-Guard Crawling Insect Control is registered; however, DiatomasceousEarth.com was selling, distributing and advertising the product for uses that were not accepted during its registration. The stop-sale order will bring the U.S. distributor into compliance.
