Case summary
In 2011 and 2012, Baker Petrolite Corporation produced a pesticide product at their facility located at located at 14704 Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai, Alaska. Baker Petrolite Corporation failed to registered the facility with the EPA as a Pesticide Producing Establishment prior to beginning production. Production of any pesticides at this facility was in violation of FIFRA Section 12(a)(2)(L) since it was not registered with the EPA at the time of the violation. The EPA worked with Baker Petrolite Corporation to ensure all establishments that are producing pesticides are registered according to Section 7 of FIFRA.
