The City of Inkom, Idaho (City) has agreed to pay a $28,160 penalty to settle violations of the NPDES permit issued to the City for discharges from the City’s wastewater treatment facility. Between November 2007 and May 2012, the facility had 1,717 effluent limit violations of its NPDES permit. The facility exceeded its permit limits for biochemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, Escherichia coli (E. coli), pH, total residual chlorine, total inorganic nitrogen and total phosphorus.
