EPA v. Sparetime Supply, Inc.

Final Order No Penalty

Case summary

On October 29, 2002, and May 10, 2007, EPA issued Warning Letters to the manufacturer, Earth’s Friend Industries Incorporated, to notify them that their product “BANG!” was an unregistered pesticide that could not be legally sold and distributed in the US per Section 12(a)(1)(A) of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). On May 10, 2012, the Oregon Department of Agriculture forwarded information to the EPA which showed that “BANG!” is still being imported and distributed in the US. EPA is issuing this stop-sale in order to get this unregistered product out of the Marketplace and to bring the manufacturer into compliance.
