Case summary
On August 1, 2012, after prefiling negotiations, Region 10 filed a CAFO to both initiate and resolve an Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know (EPCRA) administrative penalty case against Sartori Company (Sartori) of Blackfoot, Idaho. Sartori failed to submit Form R reports to the Toxics Release Inventory for nitric acid and nitrate compounds by July 1, 2011 for calendar year 2010, in violation of the requirements of EPCRA Section 313. Pursuant to the agreement, Sartori has agreed to pay a $7,100 penalty.
