Case summary
Pursuant to Section 309(a) of the Clean Water Act, EPA Region 10 has issued a compliance order by consent to the Joint School District #171 (Timberline High School), Idaho (District) for violations of the Districts NPDES permit (Permit Number ID0023914). From April 2007 through January 2012, the District had 2,003 effluent limit violations of its NPDES permit. On March 20, 2012, the EPA received the Districts construction schedule concerning their subsurface sewage disposal system. The compliance order requires the District to begin construction by August 31, 2012. In addition, the District is required to complete construction and no longer discharge into Grasshopper Creek by September 30, 2012. The District then is required to submit permit notification to EPA by October 31, 2012.
