EPA alleged that Chemco, Inc., a manufacturer of fire retardant wood treatment chemicals located in Ferndale, Washington, violated Section 313 of EPCRA and 40 C.F.R. Part 372 by reporting incorrectly for methanol for calendar year 2005 and failing to submit timely Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Reporting Forms (Form R) for methanol and formaldehyde for calendar years 2007 and 2008. Chemco, Inc. has agreed to pay a penalty of $25,400.
