Final Order No Penalty
Case summary
On June 29, 2009, Region 10 entered into an Administrative Order on Consent (AOC) with Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs) to provide for investigation and removal actions at two locations near Grandview, Washington. The AOC will require the PRPs, owners and operators of the agricultural operation, to provide for proper disposal of the staged wastes, to complete the excavation of wastes and contaminated soils at the first location, and to proceed with an investigation and removal, if necessary, at a second location nearby where buried wastes are also suspected. Consistent with the schedule in the AOC Statement of Work, work by the PRPs should begin in July. The AOC further requires the PRPs to reimburse all past and future EPA costs related to this site.
