EPA v. PAUL SAYER

Final Order With Penalty

Case summary

On May 12, 2008, the Region entered a Consent Agreement and Final Order in connection with the Paul Sayer (Sayer) case. Sayer is the owner of a construction site located in Anchor Point, Alaska. This enforcement action arose out of a July 2007 inspection by EPA of the Sayer construction site, in which EPA found violations of the Construction General Permit (CGP). The Region alleged that Sayer operated his construction site without coverage under the CGP and when the site was covered, still had violations of the CGP. The terms of the settlement require Sayer to pay a penalty of $27,600.
