Case summary
Libertas Now is a new registrant and has never imported their recently registered pesticide (Knockout Extra EPA Reg. No 8114203). EPA Inspector scheduled a routine import inspection because the product had never been imported within Region 10l. During conversations with the importer, it was discovered that the product containers did not have any labels attached. An inspection was conducted on 5/23/05 to verify the containers were unlabeled. A Stop Order Sale was issued on 5/27/05 to stop the further sale and distribution of 80,000 lbs of misbranded Knockout (EPA Reg 10.1142-3). This penalty action is in followup to EPA's Stop Order Sale.
