Case summary

On April 2, 2026, EPA Region IX filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (the CAFO) to initiate and resolve an administrative penalty action against Bou-Matic LLC (Bou-Matic) of Madison, Wisconsin, for 20 violations of Section 12(a)(1)(E) of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), which prohibits the distribution of a misbranded pesticide. Specifically, it was alleged that Bou-Matic, sold and distributed the registered pesticide, Chlor 125, on 20 separate occasions from January 2022 through August 2023 with labeling that bore an incorrect FIFRA pesticide producing establishment registration number.
