Case summary

This Consent Agreement/Final Order (CAFO) was entered into between Island Energy Services LLC (IES) and the U.S. EPA Region 9 to settle a penalty amount of $142,010.00 for Oil Pollution Prevention violations of the Clean Water Act 311 Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Rule and to address SPCC compliance requirements at the Respondent's Hilo, Isle of Hawaii and Port Allen Kauai Terminals that required sufficiently impervious secondary containment. IES has completed the liner installation projects at all three terminals covered by this CAFO and now stands in full compliance with the SPCC Rule requirements.
