On February 23, 2007, the U.S. EPA Region 9 conducted an inspection at Akzo Nobel Coatings for evaluation of compliance with EPCRA Sections 302-312 and CAA 112(r) RMP. Violations of Section 312 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act (“EPCRA”) regulations were found during the inspection. The facility failed to file annual hazardous chemical inventory forms for hazardous chemicals present at the facility for reporting years 2004 and 2005. The facility filed the 2004-2005 forms on February 22, 2007.
