Case summary

This is a Federal Facility Compliance Agreement between the United States Department of the Navy, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 9, for the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station. The final remedy addresses contaminated soil at sites 8 and 12. Site 8 was divided into five enits (units 1-5) and site 12 was divided into four units (units 1-4). The selected remedies are removal of non-radiologically contaminated soils from site 8, unit 3 and site 12, unit3; removal of radiologically contaminated soils from site 8, units land 4; and no action for all other units at these sites.
