Case summary
The Order addressed several violations identified from July 2022 to present. Violations include failure to monitor the system for disinfection by-products, IOCs, SOCs, VOCs, radionuclides, chlorine residuals, and nitrate; failure to distribute the required Lead Consumer Notice to customers and certify with EPA; failure to complete a Consumer Confidence Report; and failure to notify the public of the violations. The Order requires the Respondents to monitor the system for the aforementioned contaminants; complete and certify the Lead Consumer Notice; and notify the public of the violations. The Water Division provided the System extensive compliance assistance prior to the SDWA Enforcement Section initiating this enforcement action. The System serves approximately 26 individuals at least 60 days a year.
