On February 14, 2024 Region 8 issued an Administrative Order (Order) under section 1414 of the SDWA to the Town of Dixon (Respondent) based on a determination that the Town of Dixon Public Water System (System) of Carbon County, Wyoming violated EPA?s National Primary Drinking Water Regulations.;The Order addressed several alleged violations identified from 2020 to present.. Violations include Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) violations under the Disinfection Byproduct Rule for total trihalomethanes (TTHM) and haloacetic acid (HAA5), and failure to monitor for hexachlorocyclopentadiene at the entry point to the distribution System (ST01/SP01) during the 3rd quarter of 2022. The Order requires the Respondent submit a plan and schedule to bring the System into compliance with the TTHM and HAA5 MCLs; notify the public quarterly as long as the TTHM and HAA5 MCL violations persist, and monitor for hexachlorocyclopentadiene
