On September 22, 2022, Region 8 issued an Expedited Settlement Agreement to resolve TSCA RRP violations with Colorado Quality Painting discovered as the result of a citizen tip/complaint. The EPA issued an information request letter to Colorado Quality Painting in December 2021, and the company's response indicated that they had been performing renovations on pre-1978 housing ( target housing ) without having obtained EPA lead-safe work practices.
