Case summary

On December 22, 2020, the RMP team initiated an off-site compliance monitoring activity of the JBS USA Food Company?s, Great Value-Added Meat Processing Facility in Greeley, Colorado. The activity determined that the facility failed to perform the following activities: submit an RMP prior to the regulated chemical being onsite, properly classify the facilities program level, take into account the endpoint requirements, and did not use the proper NAICS code or properly round the quantity of the regulated chemical in their RMP. The facility has corrected the violations and ECAD had closed out this matter with an Expedited Settlement Agreement (ESA) containing a penalty.
