Case summary
During the week of July 22, a Stop Sale, Use or Removal Order (SSURO) was issued to doTerra International, LLC (doTerra) of Orem, Utah, for the sale and distribution of three unregistered pesticides. The products in question made pesticidal claims but had not been registered with EPA. The SSURO required doTerra to immediately cease sale, distribution or removal of the product. doTerra immediately corrected the labels on the products and removed public health claims from their website for the minimum risk pesticides.
