Case summary

Respondent failed to monitor the System's water for total coliform bacteria. Respondent failed to take the required four repeat samples of the System's water within 24 hours of being notified that a sample collected on September 29, 2010, was positive for total coliform. After the System's water tested positive for total coliform, Respondent failed to take at least five routine samples of the System's water in October 2010 or April 2011, the next month the system was open to the public. Respondent failed to notify the public and EPA.
