Thunderbox self disclosed that they sold approximately 5,900 permethrin-treated mosquito netting products to retailers in the US. Thunderbox hired a consulting firm, Environmental Resources Management, to conduct a self-audit to evaluate its compliance with FIFRA. ERM concluded that the company failed to comply with applicable pre-import notification, distribution, labeling, packaging, export and related requirements set forth in FIFRA's regulations.
