Case summary
This Removal Action will address the imminent and substantial endangerment to human health and the environment posed by a fibrous form of tremolite-actinolite amphibole series asbestos located at the Site. Vermiculite ore was mined at the site from approximately 1933 through 1950. The tremolite-actinolite amphibole series asbestos fibers are comingled with the vermiculite ore located in the prospect pits and waste piles of the mine.
