EPA v. Mosaic Fertilizer, LLC-St. James, LA-RMP CAFO-FY 2026

Case summary

On October 27, 2025 there was an incident at the Facility that resulted in an accidental release ('the Incident ). On December 30, EPA requested follow-up information and Respondent provided a response on January 13, 2026 regarding the incident and Respondents' compliance with section 112(r)of the CAA, 42 U.S.C. 7412(r), and 40 C.F.R. Part 68 (the 'investigation ). On April 16,2026, and on various other occasions, EPA conferred with the Respondents regarding the violations alleged herein. Based on teh information gathered during the investigation, EPA determined two violations.
