Case summary

On April 30, 2026, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 309 of the Clean Water Act to the Camino Real Regional Utility Wastewater Treatment Plant. The AO was issued in response to effluent violations of permit limits, failure to reapply before the permit expired, and for discharging without a permit. The AO requires the facility to; 1.) submit a list of specific actions taken to correct the violations and 2.) submit a comprehensive permit application, and 3) If discharges occur, the facility shall be is compliance with its expired permit. The Respondent must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty (30) days of the effective dated of the AO.
