Case summary

Under the CAFO, IP has agreed to pay a civil penalty of $500,000 and to develop protocols and documents related to regulatorily-required inspections and boiler compliance at the Facility; maintain records for at least one year; ensure bypass lines in closed-vent systems are maintained per regulatory requirements; perform a vacuum leak survey on the black liquor evaporators; and evaluate compliance with boiler regulatory requirements.
