Texas Petroleum Investment Company (TPIC) owns and operates three facilities in the Weeks Island area of Louisiana. Weeks East is a crude oil and natural gas production facility in Iberia Parish, Louisiana, a minor source and, at the time of the investigation, operated under Permit No. 1260-00045-07. This permit was issued by LDEQ on June 27, 2018. TPIC violated its permit by releasing to atmosphere unauthorized VOC emissions from tanks and failing to maintain housekeeping and maintenance practices to prevent the releases.
