On March 12, 2024, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order under its authority pursuant to Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. ? 1251 et seq., and its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to Union Oil Company of California (UNOCAL) located at 100 Northpark Boulevard Covington, LA 70433. The Administrative Order was issued in response to effluent violations located at Permitted Features PF 0745 and PF 0756 under permit number GMG290128. The Administrative Order requires UNOCAL to certify compliance with the terms and conditions of the permit for the violations cited under Permitted Features 0745 and 0756. UNOCAL must respond to EPA Region 6 by April 11, 2024. These are offshore facilities and therefore are not EJ facilities.
